Eagles Soccer is Soaring

The boys varsity soccer team is wrapping up their season after a successful run through the Mid-Illini.

The Dunlap Eagles varsity soccer squad ended the regular season at 13-2-6.

When asked about the transition from the previous season to the current season. Senior captain Ryan McMillan said “Even with the loss of 14 seniors last year, we worked hard to stay successful.”

That hard work has paid off as they have earned a first round bye heading into the playoffs this year. The bracket is yet to be determined but the Eagles look to continue the momentum they have built, having outscored their last five opponents 18-1.

The Eagles started the season winless through three games but bursted into a winning frenzy, not losing another game for nine straight matches. They only lost one time before an eight game streak which currently stands.
