Many great athletes have come through DHS but possibly one of the best is Josiah Miamen (@josiahm24), the Dunlap Eagles’ star wide receiver. While only as a junior, Josiah’s recruitment process has already started with offers from Illinois State University and the University of Illinois.

“It’s a relief as well as a testament to how hard I’ve worked,” said Josiah after receiving his first two division one offers.

While Josiah is grateful to have received their offers, he still has two dream colleges he would like to hear from: The University of Miami and Northwestern University.

Josiah’s success has come from hard work and his god given talent. But Josiah credits a lot of success to his coaches, especially coach Cazalet.

When colleges are scouting Josiah, he wants them to see how hard he works and how skilled he is.

Josiah said, “My big play ability and the potential I have to do great things for their program.”

After coming off of a big junior year, Josiah looks to improve even more in his senior year. His junior year consisted of 33 catches, 561 yards, and 10 touchdowns. For his senior year, Josiah said his goal is to hit 1,000 yards with 20 touchdowns.

Teammate and one of the captains of the football team, Broc Jockisch, says Josiah has no limit to his potential and believes he will receive many more offers.

“Josiah is the type of receiver that you can just throw the ball up to and let him make a play.” praises Jockish.
