Dunlap Student Makes Hard Commitment Decision

Dunlap senior Josiah Miamen is headed to a division one college football program on a full ride scholarship.

The 6’4, 225 pound, tight end announced last Sunday night that he will be attending Iowa University according to him in a recent interview.

Miamen is ranked the 38th top tight end in the nation and the 16th top prospect in Illinois according to 247 sports. He has received an overall 14 division one football programs, three of which were in-state.

He states, “I announced my decision on Twitter after calling the head coach of Iowa and announcing to him beforehand. As well as calling the schools I didn’t choose and thanking the coaches that had recruited me.’’

Miamen also says, “I got my first offer in January and didn’t make my decision until September so it took me quite awhile to figure out where I wanted to go to school.’’

In our interview Miamen said, “Big factors in my decision were: schooling, the usage of tight ends as a whole, and the overall fit.’’

Miamen looks forward to becoming a Hawkeye and is excited to see where his journey will take him!
