After a soft launch this past winter, the D323 Library Podcasts will be making its official debut this spring.

The podcasts, which are produced and hosted by Dunlap District librarian Amy Stefanski and DHS Special Ed Teacher Diana Burton, are just two book lovers talking about books.

“We love talking about books and were just messing around when we had the idea of actually starting a podcast,” Stefanski said.

Available on Spotify, SoundCloud and soon on iTunes, the goal of the podcasts is to make it a place where you can listen in and learn about different types of literature. But that’s only the beginning.  Stefanski and Burton have bright ideas for the future.

The main hope is to turn it into a club where students or teachers can become guests and get involved.  They would also like to include some book talks into it as well.

With the addition of podcasts, Dunlap will be one of the only schools so far to produce a podcast. However, the Peoria Public Library has one as well.

Even more recording sessions are being produced soon, and will be telecast every week. Be sure to check them out.
