On February 22-24, six members of the Dunlap Boys Tennis Team participated in a tournament at the Racket Club in Peoria, Illinois.

The team competed in this tournament against local competition prior to the season, which started on February 25.

Aanan Kashyup, Arian Rahbar, Nolan Teubel, Parth Patel, Len Brown, Vdnil Tummmsrakota and Kushal Mungee, are the six members from Dunlap who took part in the tournament. Three members from the team placed. Kashyup took first place, Rahbar third, and Mungee finished seventh.

“The team has a very good chance of building from the success they had in this tournament and we hope to gain some confidence going into the season,” says Coach Steve Pichaske and members Kashyup and Rahbar.

Coaches Patrick Gornik and Steve Pichaske encouraged their players to partake in this tournament.

“This is a win-win situation,” says Pichaske, “It was a great opportunity to experience the competition before starting our season.”

The team feels like they have a lot of talent and hope they can bring some trophies home like they did two years ago.
