The girls softball team has started the season with six wins, which makes them well on their way to accomplishing their goals–compete in the IHSA regional conference.

The girls varsity  team has won six of the 12 games they have played, but many more games are in store, with two games this week.

The “competitive” girls on the softball team are working hard to win their games and make their way to IHSA regionals in May.

So far, the biggest challenge the team has had to face is playing against the current state champions Sterling High School and Yorkville High School. Yet, with hard work, the softball team continues to do their best to overcome this challenge.

The softball team has been practicing together for months in preparation for upcoming games. Practices primarily focus on batting, defense and a lot of hard work. They have been very organized and the team is excited to continue to work and compete.

The team works hard together in practice to achieve sports goals, but are also a close-knit group of friends.

Junior Payton Staser says, “[I’m most excited] for working with the underclassmen on junior varsity.”
