Last Thursday art created by Dunlap High School students was presented to the public.

The Dunlap students had won awards at the Mid Illini Art Show for the 26 pieces that Dunlap presented. The art teachers hand picked students’ pieces and entered them into the competition.

All work that had been entered was put on display at Prairie Art Center last Wednesday.

Morgann Mcvey, a junior, won the Bradley University Wild Card award.

Sophomore, Carol Gong, had a piece entered and was a merit winner.

“I was surprised my piece won!” Gong exclaimed.

“Even for the ones that didn’t win just to see their art work displayed in the gallery is a cool experience,” says Dunlap art teacher, Mrs. Powers.
