The Dunlap girls varsity soccer team loses and junior varsity victoriously wins a game last Thursday.

Junior varsity’s third conference game played against Geneseo, the hardest game for them this season. They pulled through with a score of 1-0, winning the game.

Varsity gave their best, though Geneseo scored within the first 10 minutes. They did not win however, the score ended 0-1.

“Playing against Geneseo was our hardest game yet,” said Aashi Reddy, a junior and JV player at DHS, “But we kept our heads up.”

JV has had only two losses this season, and are always making room to improve.

The hardest thing the teams have had to overcome is communication, but when on the field they are able to “play to win,” the teammates say.

The girls soccer team will continue to compete in East Peoria on April 15, followed by a home game April 18 against Quincy Notre Dame.
