The Congressional Art show is a yearly art competition that consists of any school in the 18th congressional district.

The winner will have their work displayed in Washington D.C. and will be flown there to view it. Ten schools participated this year.

Eleven students from Dunlap High School have participated this year.

“Having the opportunity to participate in any show at this young of an age is an honor,” said Izzy Rinald, à participant of the art show, “It’s and outlet to display my passion to the public.”

Participants spent ten to twenty hours perfecting the art they have displayed at the show.

“I clocked in about 30 hours of planning and work,” says Rinald.

The show will be held on Monday, April 29 at Peoria Public Library.
